Taxes

While ISSS is legally prohibited from helping with tax filing, they provide free software (Glacier Tax Prep) for international students to complete their federal taxes. You also need to file state taxes. You might try https://www.sprintax.com/ which is an option for either federal or state taxes and charges a fee to file.

ISSS also has been known to host a state income tax workshop conducted by a representative from the CA Taxpayers' Rights Advocate Office about a month before the tax deadline of April 15 -- check their calendar. "At the end of the workshop we can ask any questions. Time is not limited. This is probably the most useful part. It might be good to come prepared at the workshop."
